Pear Australia Australia's Most Caring Telco
Aria Scribe · one price for the practice

Have you bought a scribe before — and is anyone still using it?

That's the question we ask first, because the honest answer at a lot of practices is no. Someone trialled one. It wrote decent notes. Within a month nobody opened it. The problem with AI scribes was never the note. It was the habit.

The thing to see first

The scribe that wins isn't the most accurate one. It's the one your doctors are still using in March.

Every scribe on the market claims accuracy, and no one chooses on it. What decides it is whether the thing fits into a consult without a doctor having to remember a login, open a laptop, or trust something they can't check. Aria Scribe is built around those three things: one key on the handset they already use, a note they read before it goes anywhere, and a way to check any sentence in seconds.

What the note is costing now

Written three times: in the room, on the way to the next patient, and at 7pm.

68% of GPs are dissatisfied with the amount of administration in their role. A quarter say admin during the consult is why consults are longer — 19.8 minutes on average now, up from 17.7 four years ago. 60% report burnout in the past 12 months (RACGP Health of the Nation 2026).

The RACGP is not affiliated with, and does not endorse, Pear; figures are cited for reference.

A new way

One key. One read. One button.

Press the key on the desk handset; Aria listens. When the patient leaves, the note is drafted — SOAP-structured, with the referral letter, care plan or certificate drafted off the same consult. You read it. Anything you're not sure of, you click, and you hear exactly what was said at that moment — the recording, not a transcript. Then one button puts it into Best Practice. Aria never files it herself. That's deliberate: the record is yours, and nothing enters it unread.

What she does

The note, the letters, and the way to check them.

How you know the note is right

This is what the RACGP and the TGA mean by keeping a clinician in the loop. The TGA's October 2026 review found most AI scribes on the market doing more than transcribing. Aria Scribe drafts, you decide, and you can check any line against what was actually said. It's a documentation aid; it doesn't diagnose, and every note still gets read by the person who signs it.

Plain statements, each one a procurement officer can check.

No demo

A fortnight on real consults.

We switch it on and your doctors run it on real patients for two weeks. Then you decide on what it actually produced — and on whether anyone's still pressing the key in week two. That's the only test that matters.

Questions practice managers ask.

Does it file into Best Practice automatically?
No. It drafts; you read; one button copies it in. That's on purpose — nothing enters the record unread.
How do I check a line I'm not sure about?
Click it. You hear that moment of the consult — the recording, not a transcript read back.
Is the patient's consent recorded?
Yes. Aria asks before a recording starts, nothing is captured until it's confirmed, and each consult keeps its consent record. A ready-to-print patient information sheet is included.
Where is the audio processed?
All Aria processing stays in Australian data centres — AWS Sydney for Aria's voice, Microsoft Azure Australia for the rest. Nothing leaves the country. It isn't used to train anyone's model.
We're an occupational health practice — does it do certificates and reports?
Yes — pre-employment medicals, assessments, injury management and return-to-work documents are drafted off the same consult, and the one-price-per-practice model suits a locum-heavy roster.
