Check the address first.

The nbn technology at the premises decides which speeds we can sell. Type the service address below. If the live check is not connected yet, you can still pick a plan and send us the address — we confirm the service class before you sign.

    Plans

    Pick a plan.
    Unlimited, month-to-month.

Speeds are the maximum wholesale speed; we confirm what your address can actually reach on the quote. Business plans include a static IP and a business SLA — home plans do not.

    Modem

The internet service is month-to-month unless you take a Pear-supplied modem. The $40 4G backup service is separate and only works with the NL20MESH.

    4G backup

4G backup is a separate monthly add-on from the modem. The data cap is confirmed on your quote.

No payment is taken on this page — the next page takes your details, and a person in Australia takes the first month by phone before anything is activated.

    Why take NBN from Pear

    The internet and the phones,
    from one team.

    One team with Hosted-X

When the same people run your internet and your Hosted-X phone system, a fault has one number to call — not two providers pointing at each other.

    Voice prioritised

When Pear supplies both the connection and the phones, voice is prioritised on the link, so calls stay clear even when the office is busy.

    4G failover

Add a 4G backup so the site keeps answering if the fixed nbn line drops — the same resilience your phone system relies on.

    Frequently asked questions.

What is the difference between business NBN and home NBN?
Business NBN includes a static IP, priority support with a shorter SLA, enhanced security and less congestion — the things a phone system and a busy office rely on. Home NBN is unlimited and month-to-month too, but has no static IP and no business SLA. If the line has to carry Hosted-X for a clinic or office, take a business plan.
Why are business 100 and 500 both $135 (and home 100 and 500 both $99)?
Because the wholesale step between those tiers does not change our price at that point, so we pass the faster download through at the same monthly cost. If the address supports 500, take 500 — the upload is the same 50, but you get far more download for the same money.
    Will it run Hosted-X?
Yes, when the plan and the line suit it. A phone system needs steady upload more than raw download, so for voice we look at the upload figure — the 250 Plus (250/100) and the 500 Super (500/200) carry phones and cloud better than a 500/50. On a business plan, voice is prioritised when Pear supplies both the internet and the phones.
    Are the speeds guaranteed?
The number on each plan is the maximum wholesale speed. Your typical busy-period speed depends on the nbn technology at your address and is confirmed on the quote for your premises — that is why we check the address before we sell you a tier. Some tiers are not available on every nbn type.
    Month-to-month or 24 months?
The internet service is month-to-month. The only 24-month commitment is optional, and only if you take a modem on a 2-year deal (for example the Netcomm NF20MESH at $0 on a 2-year contract). Bring your own modem or buy one outright and there is no contract at all.
    What is 4G backup?
A mobile connection that keeps the site online if the fixed nbn line drops. It uses a 4G backup modem (Netcomm NL20MESH) plus a 4G backup service at $40 a month — a separate add-on from the modem hardware. The data cap is confirmed on the quote.
Do I get a static IP?
Yes on every business plan — a static IP is included. Home plans do not include a static IP. If you need to reach a site remotely, run a VPN or point services at a fixed address, that is a business-plan feature.
Can I finish the order entirely on this page?
You start it here. Once you send the address and plan, we confirm the nbn service class at your premises (or tell you it is Opticomm and quote that separately) and send you the contract to sign. Payment is not taken on this page.
